MP3 Timer: An MP3-based countdown timer for PC devices

MP3 Timer is a free utility tool for PCs developed by Wave Digital Studios. It is a portable timer and countdown program that allows users to set a timer or an alarm based on any number of minutes. It utilizes a floating widget-like design, making it easy to place anywhere on desktop screens.
MP3 Timer essentially works the same way as any countdown timer. What sets it apart from others is its unique UI design and its ability to play MP3 files for alerts instead of your typical beeps and rings.
MP3 Timer features an egg-like design, with a small screen at the top and various buttons below it. The overall look sort of calls back to the pocket-sized Tamagotchi devices that were really popular back in the day. It is also presented as a floating widget which you can freely move around your desktop screen and stays on top of other program windows.
The timer is set to 12 minutes by default, but you can set a new time of your choice. Countdowns are set to 15-minute intervals as standard, but you can click on the numbers on the screen to change it to something else. Alternatively, you can use the buttons below and choose to add or subtract time by 1s or 5s.
Lastly, we go to the unique feature of this program: The ability to play MP3 for alerts. To add music, you can click on the eject button and browse for it, or simply drag-and-drop the file to the program. One thing missing in MP3 Timer is a snooze feature for your alarms. If you want to be reminded again, you will have to manually start a new countdown.
In conclusion, MP3 Timer does what it is supposed to do. Nothing more, nothing less. There are various ways to change and adjust the timer, and it is easy to add your MP3 files to use for alerts. A snooze feature would have been nice. While the design might not be to everyone's liking, if you don't mind that, then it's worth giving a try.
