LogMeIn Rescue is an all in one remote support platform allowing a technician to access multiple Windows and Macintosh computers as a client user. It has two components: The Technician Console (which is used by a service technician) and the Mobile Management Interface (MMI). The Technician Console connects to the Windows system and controls all of the various support options such as logging off, switching the computer to night mode etc. It also allows the technician to view the desktop screen of the client computer from the client's point of view, which enables him/her to perform tasks such as changing the system settings and running custom software programs. The Mobile Management Interface enables the technician to remotely control a particular computer or a group of computers through the Internet.
The LogMeIn Mobile Management Interface (MII) is used to log into the Windows server as a remote administrator and access all folders and files of the computer system. The LogMeIn Rescue applet acts as the interface between the technician and the client. This graphical utility enables the technician to change settings, add/remove hardware and ports, activate/deactivate devices, manage booting programs, and perform other troubleshooting tasks. The LogMeIn Mobile Management Interface can be used as a web browser, to control the LogMeIn software directly, or for remote control through a modem, telephone or other network connection.
