Free action game for Mac
ACAB MOB: Most Wanted is a free action game for Mac by developer Poolish Interactive Studios. It’s an uncanny premise since it’s both a video game and a music compilation. Still, it retains all features from typical action games like Stick it to the man and Extraneüm in the sense of having opponents you must deal with.
However, that’s where comparisons end. This title is more of a bizarre GTA clone thanks to its very unique, or better put, unusual features and story, which has your funkin’ crew dealing with the police by shooting pizza at them. Yes, that’s right - pizza.
This is essentially a 3rd person-perspective action/adventure game where you travel around a city in your vehicle shooting things, including cops. Sounds familiar? However, that’s where similarities end between ACAB MOB: Most Wanted and pretty much every other game you’ve ever played.
Weird low-budget GTA
In this case, your chosen anthropomorphic character shoots pizza at naked chicken cops (you can tell they’re cops because they wear cop hats). The action happens in a city with twisting buildings and fluorescent colours, as you enjoy the rhythm of the many songs in the game.
A lot to polish
While everything sounds exciting, there are many issues here. For example, the vehicles are difficult to control, as is aiming the pizzas. The chickens wander aimlessly, and you don’t even know what the objective really is. You can also pass right through most buildings.
However, it's more than just a game and works like an interactive jukebox.
There’s really nothing like it
ACAB MOB: Most Wanted works best if you like the songs. If so, it’s a great activity for a Friday night, where instead of simply listening to the tracks, you can enjoy them as you play. Forget just dancing, when you can take in the tunes while your surreal, eccentric character shoots pizza at chicken cops.
That said, the novelty quickly wears off, and it probably won’t get many playthroughs unless you genuinely love the music, which by the way, was created by real artists. Unfortunately, many issues prevent it from being considered a true game.
