Yandere Simulator: Visual Novel is actually a fan-made fan-game. Which means that it's a very late-comer game made by avid fans for hardcore fans just to fill extra time while waiting for the official Yandere Simulator game itself to be upgraded. This game is more enjoyable than the official one because you can play it from the comfort of your seat, have a lot of settings to choose from and make use of the "heat vision" option as you have to look carefully to find the objects that you need to save in the school.
The story of Yandere Simulator: Visual Novel follows a little girl who finds herself working at a rehabilitation center after being cast out of her old school due to her rebellious nature. And just like in the real life Yandere simulator, she has a few problems to face along the way. But since the center is somewhat mysterious, you have to use some detective skills to solve the mystery and save the girls you're meant to work with. And since this game is pretty much the visual novel version, you have the option to choose between two main endings (the other is a "branching route" which is basically a different story starting from a different point). But what makes Yandere Simulator: Visual Novel such a fun game to play is its cute little story telling, its unique art style, and the interesting mechanics of its gameplay. All the different elements of the game combine together to create an experience that is both interesting and addictive at the same time.
