Synapse DUNE VST
Synapse Dune VST is a multi-award-winning synthesiser which claims to be ‘better than ever’ after the big launch of its new and updated version. This audio software was completely rewritten from scratch in a bid to provide better sound quality and pull together an even wider range of audio. Graphical envelopes, new effects, modern filters and up-to-date oscillators are just some of the latest editions to this application. Key features include: Zero delay feedback filters. Synapse Dune is available as a VST/AU/AAX plugin for Windows, with the VST coming in both 32 and 64-bit versions. However, the ProTools offer is only available to the 64-bit offering. Described as a ‘true unison monster’, Synapse Dune VST has a maximum reserve of 8,320 oscillators at full polyphony – meaning it is unlikely to ever run out of oscillators. In fact it has 16 voices of polyphony and 8x unison equalling up to 520 oscillators per note. Overall, this new and updated model provides quite the powerful package. Synapse Audio Manager’s innovative program, The Legend VST, claims to unlock a “new territory” in analog modelling technology. Operating on Windows, it invites prospective users to “feel the magic” of analog sound through a variety of features. The Legend VST was developed in collaboration with Bigtone Studios, a vintage synth specialist. So, the program was therefore crafted to loyally take after one of the most renowned vintage analog synths. But still it goes further, thanks to a plethora of exciting additions aiding flexibility and enjoyment. Key features include: Unprecedented precision. Vectorised core with Unison, Mono and four-voice Polyphony modes. Two revisions modelled, Early and Late. Accurate circuit simulation. 8x oversampled engine. 480 patches included. The creators of The Legend VST have strived to create an accuracy like never seen before in a software of its kind. This has been managed thanks to fine-tuning of every component, from the voltage-controlled oscillators (VCO) to the voltage-controlled amplifier (VCA) and voltage-controlled filter (VCF). According to Synapse Audio Manager the “most significant additions” are the Unison and Polyphonic modes, which enable polyphonic play as well as thick stereo sounds. It is also able to synthesise four voices for the cost of little more than one. Therefore, The Legend can be described as a highly efficient analog-modelling synthesizer plug-in.
