An Introduction to Ditto
Ditto is a powerful office productivity tool that allows you to create documents, spreadsheets, presentations, mailing lists, calendars, contacts, tasks, calendars, and much more. Ditto lets you save any kind of data which can then be placed on the desktop, the clipboard, images, text, custom formats, os, and many more. The program is written mainly in the C++ language. One of the most attractive features of Ditto is that it can convert any document into multiple languages such as French, German, English, and Spanish. In addition, Ditto is very easy to use.
When you drag any item from the desktop or the main menu onto the small toolbar at the top of your screen you can choose which format you would like to place the item in. For example, you could place the item in "pasted" format if you so chose. Another handy feature of Ditto is the use of the "drop to" option. With the drop to an option, the item placed onto the small toolbar at the top of your screen will automatically be dropped down out of the way when you move your mouse to any other location on your desktop or in other applications. This way you can save space on both the desktop and in other applications by dropping items onto the Ditto toolbar without having to worry about them getting lost.
The only really useful feature of Ditto is that it allows you to search for items in two different languages by searching in the drop down menu for either the name of the item or its translational equivalents. Ditto also allows you to copy text and select the exact phrase you want to appear in the clipboard. Although, it is unable to translate languages yourself. So for instance, if you were interested in Spanish texts then you would translate a word in English using Ditto and save it to a file.
