Winamp serves as a music player for your Android. It does everything your regular player already does, and it’s not an upgrade. The best thing about it is that it can sync with your PC. You can play your library across multiple devices.
Solid music player
Performance is decent. It has an intuitive interface. You can sync all your files in a matter of seconds. The app uses a minimal amount of memory, except for the radio station mode. This mode drains data quickly.
Battery consumption isn’t too great - takes about twice as much as your default player. That’s not a problem since playing music drains less than 1% of battery an hour. There’s a search feature that will look up your songs; however, it’s not the best programme for looking up music.
Some channels are unavailable
When you download this app, make sure to double-check the version. It might be different from what you see on the link. There’s not a huge difference except the number of working radio stations. As you will notice, most of the SHOUTcast channels are disabled.
Capable of syncing libraries
Winamp is an excellent choice if you’re tired of using the standard Android player. You could play your music in a compact layout and slick design. It has all the common features like shuffle and playlist maker. The syncing option can also be useful if you don’t happen to have a USB drive.
