The Simpsons: Tapped Out is an arcade game where you can create your own version of The Simpsons' Springfield. The game features a ton of items and characters to unlock, allowing you to reimagine what Springfield is like by rebuilding the entire city.

You can collect money to purchase houses, decorations, and other items in the game. There are also donuts that can be used to speed up tasks and construction.
The game does a good job of balancing freedom with side quests, allowing players to completely ignore the tasks and do their own thing or complete tasks for bigger rewards. It's also nice to see that the developer, ELECTRONIC ARTS, doesn't push micro-transactions on users in The Simpsons: Tapped Out.
