SPIDER MAN FOR ANDROID is a free action game developed by cpp tarikelhamdi1. As you can imagine, this is an unofficial rendition of the Marvel superhero and has nothing to do with titles such as Spider-Man: Far From Home, Spider-Man Ultimate Power and Spider-Man Unlimited, all of which have official licences. 

In this case, you too roam the city in an open-world setting fighting for justice. However, if the fully capitalised title doesn’t give it away, the principal enemy you’ll struggle with is the game itself. In this low-budget, low-quality attempt at portraying Peter Parker’s alter ego. 

Installation woes

Maybe part of the premise behind SPIDER MAN FOR ANDROID is for you to feel accomplished if you manage to install it. This is partly because you have to get more files than just the OBB format installer.  

Even though this is difficult for non-tech-savvy people, this app goes one step further in making it difficult for everyone because of broken links to additional files, which are separate from the main file. 

Terrible gameplay

If you were brave enough to follow through with the installation procedure, you’d be greeted with a bland, broken game in most, if not all, aspects. Terrible textures, no details and low-res graphics are just part of it.  

Then comes the gameplay itself. While you can, in theory, perform typical Spider-Man moves like shooting webs and climbing buildings, it’s no use because of collision issues, poor performance and even crashes. To its credit, there’s a lot of content, such as different costumes and Spider-Man abilities. 

Only for the curious

SPIDER MAN FOR ANDROID is a game that screams for help. It has no redeeming qualities to recommend to anyone except those who like finding bizarre apps and games. Yes, there are a lot of costumes, but this is no Spider-Man. It’s SPIDER MAN who you’re controlling. Like many impersonators, it is a poor attempt at emulating the real thing.  

Looking on the positive side, this looks and feels like an app in the early development stage. If that’s the case, users should be made aware before downloading it, and the installation process should be made significantly more straightforward. In its current state, some major work needs to be done for this game to be playable.
