Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne is a third-person shooter that picks up where the original Max Payne left off. Once again, players step into the shoes of NYPD detective Max Payne as he gets pulled into another deadly case that will require a wide variety of weapons to be mastered.
The game has an immersive storyline that distinguishes it from more casual, pick-up-and-play shooters like Sniper 3D Assassin, and unlike war-themed shooters like Call of Duty.
Max Payne is tenser than ever before
Much of Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne is devoted to making the experience as tense and immersive as possible. The game is designed to make the player feel as though they have been placed into a TV police series, with mission objectives conveyed through the main character's inner monologue, like then narration in a crime drama. While players looking for a casual romp may find this distracting, those who value narrative in a game will appreciate it.
A range of weapons
Any first-person shooter that hopes to keep the interest of its players will need to include a variety of different weapons, and Max Payne 2 meets this requirement. You start with a 9mm pistol and are later given access to shotguns, assault rifles, submachine guns, sniper rifles and explosives. Also included are bullet-time features to enhance the cinematic feel. As the complex story unfolds, more and more features will be introduced to the player, lending a feeling of depth to Max Payne's world.
An engaging experience for all first-person shooter fans
Max Payne 2 is tailored to suit a range of ability levels. On your first playthrough, the game will automatically lower its difficulty setting if you repeatedly die through adjusting enemy AI and the ratio of health bonuses. This means that even a player new to the genre and its demands should still be able to have fun.
