LinkedIn is a social network that focuses on employment and education aspects more than connecting for fun. It enables users to create resume-like profiles and use them for networking, discovering job opportunities, and learning more about their field.
Three-In-one functionality
LinkedIn is a three-in-one website - for professional networking, social relationships, and a job board. The site allows users to keep in touch with previous coworkers, find work, and contact relevant professional groups.
Comprehensive data
Setting up an account is free of charge, straightforward, and streamlined. The profiles resemble resumes, emphasizing professional affiliations, skills, and job experiences. You may add multimedia to showcase your creations, too. Once you set up an account, start connecting with people you know. LinkedIn even tracks the type of relationship in question.
Modular design
The website features a modular, professional design. It's intuitive to use but doesn't feel like most social media platforms, but rather a networking application. The recent app updates, though, saw a redesign with a much more contemporary spin.
Customisability
The service sends an excessive number of emails. However, these notifications are easy to disable, and some are even quite useful. LinkedIn also gives you options to make your public profile, or some of its sections, visible or invisible for increased privacy.
A Professional Network
Although it may seem rudimentary today, LinkedIn is still a fantastic place for business people. It has some loading issues, and the design could be better, but it delivers what it promises.
