Free gory adventure game

Kill the Dragon is a free choose-your-own-adventure game with visual novel elements. You’ll have set scenes ahead of you, where you need to decide which action to take. It will either take you to the next scene, or you’ll end with a comedic, horrific death. Many of the scenes don’t make much sense, so you’ll be using trial and error. Other games you can try are Around the World in 80 Days and Undertale.
The gameplay is easy, and you won’t have any combat abilities. All you can do is select your path and desired action. There isn’t much to the visuals either, as they are set scenes in a cartoonish fashion that don’t offer much detail.
Choose your adventure
While books that let you choose your adventure was the rage in the 80s and 90s, it started making its way into games. Some are complicated with stats and health bars that diminish or rise as the game progresses.
Others, like Kill the Dragon, simply let you decide which path you want to take to let the story unfold. In this instance, your blue hero embarks on a quest to slay a dragon in a mountain. How the tale ends is up to you.
Gameplay elements
You won’t find any combat buttons in the game. Kill the Dragon will present a scene, and you’ll have some options on the screen for the desired actions. When you select one, it will either progress the story or kill you. You can then go back to a previous scene and try the next option.
Visuals and audio
The graphics are delivered in cartoonish style with almost no special effects. The dialogue and choices appear in dialogue boxes. When it comes to the fatal moments, there are some blood, bones and gore. You’ll hear some music along the way, and there are some minor sound effects that may make you laugh or cringe.
Kill or marry the dragon
Kill the Dragon is an idle game for those who love choosing the path and seeing what happens. The game is derived from another title in which it was set but drawn out as a standalone feature.
If you were a fan of the original title, No Love, and saw this mini-feature in it, you’ll want to give it a try.
