With Hollie Guard, your Android phone becomes a panic guard. Protect yourself, record data and alert emergency contacts when you’re in danger. Open it beforehand, and if you feel threatened, shake your device to notify your contacts.
Hollie Guard background story
Hollie Guard, an individual safety app, was developed after the stabbing of Hollie Gazzard by her ex-partner, Asher Maslin.
Hollie Guard features
This app allows you to automatically record proof of an attack, share it with your contacts and store it as evidence. The motion sensor will detect any trips and falls and notifies your emergency contacts should you have an accident. The GPS running in the background will register your exact location.
You can raise the alarm in various ways, like shaking your device or pressing a panic button. The premium subscription, Hollie Guard Extra, will share audio and video evidence directly with a professional response centre and notify emergency services.
How to use the app
You can register on the app and then sign in using Google Play services or the applications' login screen. Input details for your crisis contacts. Make sure they’re people who will be able to come to your aid. Now, you can set up and activate your alarms.
Be proactive and open your app before you’re in a potentially dangerous situation. Keep your phone close, and when you feel you’re in danger, you can either shake your device or press the panic button to create a warning.
Depending on your settings, the app will activate a signal and flashing lights to hopefully scare away your attacker. It will also send a silent notification to your contact with your exact location. The app will instantly start recording data and store it in the cloud. In the event of your phone being stolen or disabled, this proof will still be accessible.
Protect your mobile data
With this panic guard app, you can feel safe knowing that help is just a shake away. It will immediately send your location to your crisis contact and store documented proof of what happened in the cloud. The alarm and flashing lights can also help to scare your attacker away in the moment.
