Free medicine app

دواء is a free medicine app developed by MTIT Mobile for the Palestinian market. Whereas other apps like MyChart, Medical Dictionary and Materia Medica Lite allow you to learn about diseases or create a personal medical record, this app is all about giving you information related to drugs and medicaments.
In this case, you’ll have information about the different products available at your fingertips. It’s a useful handbook that allows you to check details about medications in the market. The Palestine Health Ministry provides all the information, so you have a point for reference to check accuracy.
Real-time data
The concept behind دواء is to bring you current information on the different products available. This means it has real-time info on pricing, saving you the need to go to the chemist.
Additionally, it lets you understand what kind of medication it is and its format. So, for example, it’ll let you know if a particular drug comes in tablet form if it’s eye drops. It also tells you how many pills (or ml when it’s in liquid form) the package has.
Extremely easy to use
The interface in this app is very straightforward, and you’ll have the necessary information in no time. A simple search allows you to find drugs by typing the name, and you can browse the results alphabetically.
Be advised that parts of the app are in Arabic. However, you can search and get results in the Latin Alphabet. To fully benefit from the app, some knowledge of Arabic is needed to ensure that you’re properly understanding all the information presented.
Works as intended
The idea behind دواء is to provide fast and accurate information on medication pricing and package content for Palestinians. It does precisely that and nothing else. If you’re looking for some kind of personalised health app or more in-depth information about medication, then check out some of the alternatives we mentioned earlier.
Note that the information is only valid in Palestine, so it won’t be of much use in other locations. Also, some basic understanding of Arabic would be helpful, even though you might be able to use this app even without any knowledge of this language.
