The rules of the game are simple and can be described as a series of rules. The game starts with a single cell placed in a two-dimensional space with its neighbors. Each neighbor can be either alive or dead. A live cell has neighbors on the left, right, top, or bottom. The neighbors are considered "live" if they are alive and "dead" if they are dead. After each generation, the game progresses to the next generation, starting with a single cell that can be either alive or dead.
