By-web is a free Android app developed by Vimar S.p.A. that allows users to monitor and supervise their Vimar home automation systems, including By-me and KNX, using their smartphones and tablets. With a user-friendly interface and easy-to-understand icons, users can take full control of their home automation systems via LAN or Wi-Fi networks while at home or via a 3G/Internet network when away from home.
By-web is optimized for Vimar web server versions 1.18 and later, with partial optimization for versions between 1.10 andHowever, access speed is not optimized for Vimar web server versions 1.9 and earlier. It is recommended that users upgrade their Vimar web server to the latest available version for optimal performance.
Note that for devices with Android™ 9 or later versions, geolocation must be enabled on the mobile device and the By-web app must have permission to access the geolocation information. The By-web app version 2.2 includes a guided procedure to set up these requirements.
