BlueMouse: An Android app for GPS data sharing
BlueMouse is an Android app that allows your mobile phone to act like a Bluetooth GPS mouse. It creates a serial Bluetooth channel on port 1 and listens for incoming connections. Once a client connects, it sends out NMEA GGA and RMC sentences. The app was mainly created to provide GPS data to foolography unleashed products. The app's settings include force serial port number, serial port number, and update interval. It requires an Android device with Bluetooth, GPS, or network location positioning, and Android version 2.0 or above. It is licensed under GPLv3 and Apache 2.0.
The app has been tested on various devices and software versions, including HTC G1/Dream, HTC One S, HTC Vision/Desire Z, Google Nexus S, LG Optimus P990/2x, and Samsung Galaxy S3. However, it is known not to work on HTC Desire and LG Optimus P990/2x with Stock ROM. Instructions for foolography unleashed include making sure the device is discoverable, either by the system setting or BlueMouse's menu option, and pairing the device with the phone using the pairing code. The first pairing may fail, but the second time should connect the device.
