Slender: The Eight Pages is a survival horror game developed by Parsec Productions, owned and operated by Mark J. Hadley. Originally released in June 2012 for Mac and Windows, Slender: The Eight Pages was designed by Hadley, with sound effects also provided by him. 

The Slender Man Mythos

Slender: The  Eight Pages is based on the Slender Man myth. The Slender Man is portrayed as an extremely tall, thin man with long arms and legs. It wears a sharp suit and tie, and it doesn't have a face. The myth originated as a creepypasta where it is said that The Slender Man kidnaps people, mostly children. 

Slender Gameplay

Slender: The Eight Pages follows the basic premise provided by the original creepypasta. The game is presented in the first-person perspective, and the character that the player controls is lost in the woods at night time. The objective of the game is to collect eight notes that are scattered across the woods. As you collect pages, the difficulty of the game increases. 

At the start of the game, all you hear is ambient music, meaning you are still safe from The Slender Man. However, when you start collecting pages, you'll start to hear all sorts of loud noises like static and stomping, signifying The Slender Man following you. 

Rough, But a True Classic

Despite its basic graphics, gameplay, and sound design, Slender: The Eight Pages took the Internet by storm, and for good reason. It is a masterful example of suspenseful Gameplay that can truly leave players in a terrifying panic when the Slender Man finally appears.
