You can download the free game Pirate Fox Detective: The Case of the Conspicuous Klawz Crew for ages 13+. It’s available for Mac, and an average session lasts about an hour. In this game, you use only your mouse to play.
You play Felix the Fox, a pirate detective tasked to find Kaptain Klawz’s missing eyepatch. You need all your skills to gather evidence and information to catch the culprit. To help you stay on track, record all the information in a log. Or try the engaging puzzle game Bonesweeper Prototype, where you are digging for fossils.
Pirate Fox Detective storyline
Say hello to Felix the Fox, a pirate detective who needs to find Kaptain Klawz’s missing eyepatch. You’ll have to use every trick in the book to follow the clues and solve the mystery as to the item’s location.
Game features
It is a short game with a cast of six animal pirates and a narrative timeline you have to piece together. This simple game requires only mouse controls to point, click, or drag. You can use sliders to change the SFX, Music, and Speech settings.
How to play
To solve the mystery, Felix navigates different areas like the pirate ship and parts of the island. Click on any point you want him to go. When you reach another pirate, click to start and keep a conversation going.
You need to guess and complete all actions at each location before you can explore further. Collect evidence and put it in your bag. Click on the book at the bottom left to see all the evidence you have collected.
Present evidence by dragging it to the characters you are interviewing. Clicking on the book icon also lets you access a magnifying glass to examine the evidence. Drag the magnifying glass over the object to use this tool. At the top right corner, you can access the map and your log record.
The map gives you the layout of the island, and in the log, you can check information and figure out who you still need to interview. Click on the ship’s wheel at the top left corner to exit the game.
Simple, short animation game
Play Pirate Fox Detective and help Felix to navigate the map, gather evidence and record information. Pay close attention to the dialogue to figure out the correct sequence of actions you need to take and see if you can catch the culprit.
