If you are looking to learn how to play the piano then it's time you looked into a new program called "Pianist HD". This program was developed by pianist, Jon Barber, who is a professional pianist who teaches at a music school in New York City. In this course he uses traditional techniques and has made the program completely compatible with the piano. This is probably one of the best piano training programs out there today. It comes complete with over twenty-five hours of video, which includes bonus material that shows you different scales and modes and how to use them. It also comes with over forty songs in two different folders, with notation so you can play the songs easily in the key of C, E, G, A, D, and F (American Key ofitone).
Other great things about Pianoist HD is that it's not only compatible with pianos, but it works great on all styles of computers including laptops and tablets. Most other piano programs are not compatible with most mobile devices because they are designed to be played from a desktop computer. There are some very basic keyboard customization options, but overall the program is very user friendly. With just the touch of a button you can change keys, bring up and return to lessons, and many other functions. One of the biggest advantages to the software is that it comes in a "stand alone" version that you can download and then use on your phone or tablet without any additional downloads or installations.
Other great things about the pianist is that it comes with tons of great sample CD's to use while you're learning. There is also a virtual keyboard included, which comes in very useful when you are just getting started. Overall this is a great piano app that are packed full of features, and a very competitive price with most of the other piano programs available on the android marketplace.
