Car Theft Real Gangster Squad: City Russian Mafia is a free-to-play role-playing game developed by Super Mobile Games. Experience an incredible combination of fast-paced racing and an open-world environment in this striking alternative to Grand Theft Auto for mobile devices. Take on the life of a street gangster in Chicago and rise through the ranks of the criminal underworld as you claim the city for yourself.
Car Theft Real Gangster Squad: City Russian Mafia bears striking resemblance to the mobile games within the GTA franchise. The biggest difference, however, is that this game is completely free to play. If you’re looking for the authentic Grand Theft Auto experience, though, your best bet would be Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas or GTA: Vice City.
Run the streets
In Car Theft Real Gangster Squad: City Russian Mafia, you start out as an unnamed low-level gangster in the mean streets of Chicago. Start off with small crimes, such as hijacking and stealing a decent selection of vehicles. From there, as your reputation and influence grow, you’ll be able to interact with notable characters within the Chinese Triad, Mexican Cartel, and eventually even the Russian Mafia. While still retaining an air of authenticity and realism, your choices could lead you down several different paths within the criminal community.
Graphics
Unfortunately, the graphics in Car Theft Real Gangster Squad: City Russian Mafia are mid-tier at best. While there are definite boundaries when it comes to mobile gaming, Car Theft Real Gangster Squad: City Russian Mafia doesn’t feel like it’s pushing any of them. There are certainly more graphically-sound alternatives, but the less-than-optimum graphics and visual environment are reminiscent of the authentic early games within the Grand Theft Auto 3D universe. Don’t play this game expecting it to be like Grand Theft Auto V.
Gameplay
Any negative aspects concerning the graphics and visual environment in Car Theft Real Gangster Squad: City Russian Mafia are mitigated by the realism and depth of the gameplay. This does feel a little closer in all aspects to an indie game than a AAA title, but it is nonetheless an immersive experience. There is an incredible wealth of content in this game, and there are virtually no limits to what you can do to accomplish your goal of running the criminal element of Chicago.
Decent but not perfect
Unfortunately, as is the case with many mobile titles, Car Theft Real Gangster Squad: City Russian Mafia does have a number of issues that can make gameplay a little less than ideal. The most pressing of these is the difficulty level. Even though the beginning of the game presents a challenging enough playthrough, as you get into the middle-to-later stages of the game, it becomes a little too predictable. Car Theft Real Gangster Squad: City Russian Mafia isn’t able to keep your attention consistently throughout. Another issue is the control setup. Players often report that the game uses inverted controls, which makes driving a car or navigating the world around you more difficult than it needs to be.
