Zula was created by a group of Colombian game developers who wanted to create a free shooting game that features true urban combat. As the story goes, a group of youths from an impoverished area of Spain join forces with a street gang to take over a drug trafficking route in the city. The Zula gang uses intimidation, weapons, explosives, and C4 to intimidate their competition, while using their superior intellect and skill to plan strategies and attack with precision.

One of the themes of the game is the struggle between the good citizens of Zula and the criminal gangs of Spain. As one progresses through the game, one will discover the differences of these two groups as they fight to achieve their goals. As the game progresses, you'll also see how the youths transform into more organized and lethal fighting forces, while facing new challenges along the way. There are many differences between Zula and other similar games, but it is definitely worth playing just for the unique style of game play and beautiful art work.
