WiFi Probe: Easy Wireless Network Scanner with Internet Access Detection
Screenshots
WiFi Probe is an easy to use wireless network scanner that goes beyond just identifying free networks. This unique app is also able to detect if these networks actually provide Internet access. Unlike other scanners that require you to enable the network, open a browser, and load a web page to check for connectivity, WiFi Probe simplifies the process.
With WiFi Probe, you can simply tap on an open network and the app will connect to it and check for Internet connectivity. The result is displayed directly, eliminating the need to switch to a browser or another app. Additionally, WiFi Probe can identify captive pages, allowing you to distinguish between free networks and password-protected ones. The app also stores the checked networks, so you don't have to probe them again when they are found in the future.
In auto probe mode, WiFi Probe automatically checks all open WiFis it encounters and even vibrates when it detects a network that provides Internet access or if you are within range of a previously checked free network. If desired, WiFi Probe can also connect to the network immediately. This makes WiFi Probe the perfect tool for quickly finding an open Internet access in your vicinity.
