Virtual Villagers - The Tree of Life Review
Virtual Villagers - The Tree of Life brings a unique twist on your age-old formula for survival simulator games. If you are looking for a unique new twist on the genre, this one is it. It also has a few interesting features that set it apart from other similar games. In Virtual Villagers - The Tree of Life you play as both a leader and a laborer in a remote island. This twist gives a more realistic experience than your typical simulation type games.
A casual sim game with beautiful graphics and excellent sound effects, Virtual Villagers - The Tree of Life takes the genre in a different direction and challenges your logic and decision making skills. Starting out with only four villagers, you are tasked to tend to the crops, find a cure for a village infected with dangerous parasites, fight off waves of zombies and protect your new home from hungry predators. The storyline is simple enough to follow but the environments are beautifully drawn and filled with detail making the game's events even more intense. There is just something about these island simulations that makes them seem more life like than the average simulation.
Unlike most of the other games in the genre, Virtual Villagers - The Tree of Life gives you more freedom in choosing the type of character you would like to be. The four virtual villagers available to you are each unique and have their own traits, skills and attributes. For example, you could be the kindhearted, gentle and caring type of villager or be the hard-boiled, no nonsense and direct type of villager. There are also two different settings available in Virtual Villagers - The Tree of Life: Story and Endless mode. It's a great casual Sim game that has a lot of replayability and interesting storyline.
