TV Cast for Fire TV is a free streaming app developed by 2kit Consulting. It allows you to cast your favourite movies, TV shows and live video to your Fire TV without any extra hardware or software. It works similarly to HD Video Screen Mirroring Cast, Any Cast and BubbleUPnP for DLNA Chromecast Smart TV but with some unique features.
Among them are an integrated web browser, 24/7 chat support and many supported file formats such as MP4, m3u8, HLS live streams and Full HD video. Remember that it’ll use your data plan if not connected via WiFi.
Simple to use and enjoy
TV Cast for Fire TV works well in most scenarios, allowing you to stream video from your mobile device to your Fire TV in no time. One of the reasons for this is the handy integrated browser that will enable you to search for videos and stream them with one tap. You can also stream videos from your mobile gallery.
One minor downside is that you need your Fire TV remote to forward, rewind and pause when watching a video.
Almost no restrictions
This app covers a wide range of formats, including the ones mentioned earlier. In fact, the developers claim it can stream any video file on the web. It has no restrictions, so that you can reproduce hours-long content without problems.
It supports a wide range of devices in the Fire family, so you can be confident that it’ll work with your Fire Stick, Player, Cube, TV and even many Kindle Fire devices.
Good for the uninitiated
TV Cast for Fire TV is a good choice for those who don’t know how to connect their mobile devices and TVs natively or anyone having problems with such a feature. For the rest, it’s a redundant choice, but it doesn’t take away its convenience factor. It saves time and is easy to use.
As happens with many apps, users report different issues, including broken connectivity, the app freezing and more. While these issues are few and far between, some devices might work better than others. Also, remember this app will only work with Amazon Fire products, so if you don’t have one, you won’t be able to use it.
