Triangle Run is a challenging 3D adventure in which players navigate a rather challenging map lacking guarding rails and supports. If you ever wondered what it would be like to take the concept of Super Mario Kart’s Rainbow Road and turn it into a run and jump game, this is it. There are potholes and jagged edges making for a difficult trip. This adventure is playable for free.
Triangle Run is an exciting runner, single-player game, like the Chrome dino game and Gotta Fly!. Unlike these games, the map is anything but simple. Every time a player loses all three of their lives, the map changes completely. In contrast to every Super Mario map that is eventually memorized, you have to keep building your skillset. This definitely keeps the game fresh and interesting.
How to play Triangle Run
This isn’t a hack and slash or horror experience. When it starts, the triangle starts running. Even so, there are many transferable skills. For example, parkour. If you have had the chance to play games that have included jumping parkour-style from ledges to building tops and beyond, this one will utilise all of those skillsets.
Some of the pathways are extremely narrow, leaving little room for error. And worse, players start in the deep end. That is to say; there isn’t steady growth in difficulty.
Triangle Run was developed using Godot Engine, a 2D and 3D game development tool. Godot uses GDScript, a language similar to Python. This parkour runner is related to Terry Cavanaugh’s Dicey Dungeons but only in the sense that there’s action involved. The games are incredibly different in terms of style and objective. Terry Cavanaugh is famous for his ever-popular hit vvvvvv.
Run and parkour
Triangle Run is an intense parkour running adventure that requires some skill to get started. Otherwise, it will be a steep learning curve to get started. Still, this parkour runner provides lots of thrills, even for beginners.
The music is fun and appropriate to the venue. Just remember that little triangle is surprisingly nimble. You’ll have endless entertainment trying to see how far you can get in the game.
