ReactorX: A Relaxing Adventure Game in a Sci-Fi Setting
ReactorX is a sci-fi themed adventure game developed by lovixsama for Windows. In the game, the player controls a special Android sent by the captain to inspect and fix the malfunctions in a spaceship that collided with an asteroid. The gameplay is based on Sokoban mechanics, where the player moves boxes on energy grids to repair the spaceship's power systems.
The game features 2D top-down gameplay, and the Android can move in all four directions: left, right, up, and down. The Android can push boxes and use the magnet in its hand to pull the boxes towards it, which simplifies the gameplay in case of an unsuccessful move. The engine rooms have power grids that receive power from reactors, and each reactor has a unique shape for routing energy. The objective of each level is to fill every power grid cell with energy, which can be done by charging the reactors with lasers and exposing the non-colored reactors to the coloring rays.
ReactorX has a traditional 8-bit graphic design and a deep and relaxing soundtrack. The game has four sectors of the spaceship, with 30 exciting levels to explore. The game also features three colors of reactors and a magnet for pulling boxes, making it a unique and enjoyable gaming experience.
