Free Android strategy game
Screenshots
Poppy Survival: Hide N’ Seek is a free strategy game for Android inspired by Poppy Playtime and Among Us. While the gameplay has nothing in common with either of the games, the inspiration comes from the characters and game assets which are both quite prominently featured.
Luckily for Android users, there’s no shortage of Huggy Wuggy-themed games. For a more authentic Android Poppy Playtime experience, try Huggy Wuggy Survival Playtime. If Among Us is more your type of game, try the official Among Us game.
Nowhere to hide
The simple, open playfield in Poppy Survival: Hide N’ Seek gives you nowhere to hide. You can slightly obscure your character behind a small structure if you play as one of the crewmates, but there isn't really anywhere to hide. Of course, when playing as Huggy Wuggy, this presents a massive opportunity for sensational winning streaks.
Performance and graphics
Don't expect too much from this game. While the environments are often quite detailed and well designed, the characters pale in comparison. Animations for the characters' various movements and actions are also relatively unrefined. More attention seems to have been paid to filling the modest playing field with collectables.
Gameplay
Play either as Huggy Wuggy or a red crewmate and run around a small enclosed environment. If you play as Huggy Wuggy, you'll have to catch and eliminate numerous crewmates to secure a win. If you choose to play as a crewmate, you'll have to run away from Huggy Wuggy and escape within the allocated time.
If you're hiding, you'll be given a few seconds to find a hiding place before Huggy Wuggy comes after you. As stated previously, you don't stand much of a chance trying to hide. The playable area is relatively small, and there isn't much to hide behind. You do get a handy grab pack, though, so you can simply push Huggy Wuggy away if he gets too close.
Nothing new, but decently made
Don't play Poppy Survival: Hide N’ Seek expecting a revolutionary experience or new game mechanic. It's a take on the classic tag gameplay leveraging assets and characters from mainstream gaming titles to boost its popularity. The game itself doesn't seem to contain any significant bugs and provides a reasonably smooth playthrough experience. Still, there is no hidden depth, no real bonus features and no significance to the main characters apart from their appearance.
