The narrative is anchored by Kamala Khan, a teenage Avengers superfan who gains polymorphic powers during the disastrous A-Day celebration. Following the team’s disbandment and the rise of the oppressive Advanced Idea Mechanics (A.I.M.), players guide Kamala on a globe-trotting journey to reunite her heroes.

Players can engage in both solo and four-player cooperative missions across various War Zones, taking on escalating threats from A.I.M. and iconic villains like Taskmaster and Abomination. The gameplay is defined by its deep, character-specific combat systems that ensure each Avenger feels distinct. From the heavy-hitting, physics-based impact of the Hulk to the high-tech, ranged versatility of Iron Man, the game rewards players for mastering unique movesets and heroic abilities. Though new content updates and official technical support has ceased, the core multiplayer infrastructure remains active for existing players.
