Now that Mafia III has been out for awhile and been a very successful game, it would seem that there would be no other title bringing Mafia to a whole new audience. However, producers Greenwood and Zynga have issued a press release saying that they have "no plans" to port Mafia III to Android any time soon. They went on to state that this port was not done "with Mafia III". So, is this just a big marketing ploy by the leading mobile gaming developers or is there really no point in porting it at this time?
If you read their full statement, you will find that they do state that Mafia III: Rivals will not be receiving a port on Android because it does not meet their current quality standards. Zynga also went onto to state that Mafia III has sold more than 6 million copies, which is quite impressive. These are some pretty bold statements coming from the leading title in the franchise, so we will have to wait and see if Mafia III: Rivals does truly live up to all of its hype.
Based on the trailers and early testing of Mafia III: Rupture, it definitely looks like fans of the previous title will not be disappointed. The graphics and sound quality are top notch and the game play is extremely solid. In short, Mafia III: Rupture looks to be a highly addictive title that could bring many hours of enjoyable play for Mafia fans and critics alike. Mafia III: Rupture is scheduled to be released sometime in 2021.
