Free horror game for Windows

I Frog-ot is a free horror game for Windows by Krabby Daddy. This title is about Diego the frog, a charming frog with amnesia. It’s your task to help him get back to normal with the help of his friends and other animals. So, where’s the horror, then?
As it turns out, little Diego isn’t an ordinary frog, he’s a wizard, and as part of his recovery, you’ll be sacrificing his friends, among other dark stuff. Like Late Night Mop and Ligaw, the action is in first person view, always working under the guidance of the afore-mentioned frog.
Beautiful graphics and setting
The graphics in this title are a sight to behold. Everything looks a bit drawn, much like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, in a cell-shader style. The magical setting is very well realised, with a well-chosen warm filter that gets you in the mood for a magical adventure.
At some point, the absolute horror shows. This is, again, a well-done transition which completely changes the tone of the game.
Dark humour at its best
In case the title doesn’t give it away, I Frog-ot is sometimes disturbingly funny. The frog couldn’t be more evil even if it tried, yet it looks like the most innocent thing ever. It has some character development, too, since it starts pleasant and happy until he shows his true intentions.
Of course, some players might be put off by thinking this is a fun, laidback, child-friendly experience. For those who don’t take it at face value, the transition from friendly to horror is a great accomplishment.
Unlike anything else out there
I Frog-ot is unique in the sense that it’s not evident at the beginning that this title is a horror game. Other horror games feature child themes or cartoons, but they clearly show from the beginning that they’re horror titles. The way I Frog-it unfolds is masterfully crafted.
It’s also playable for many people with less-than-ideal Windows computers since its system requirements are undemanding. The developer’s very active with this project, so regular updates are the norm. Anyone interested in the horror genre would love the twist presented in this game.
