Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire - Review
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, are a popular video game released by Electronic Arts for the PC, PlayStation 2, Xbox, and Gamecube. It is an RPG (role playing game) based on the book and film of the same title. The game was developed by at least three teams, EA Canada, Electronic Arts, and EA Japan, and was later released by Electronic Arts as a download for the Xbox. Like the majority of other Harry Potter games, it is an adventure game, in which the player controls Harry Potter and his friends during their adventures.
While the game does have a few drawbacks, such as bad graphics and some portions of the story are poorly explained, overall it is a fun game to play, and can be a good introduction to the Harry Potter series for people who have never read the books. One thing I enjoyed about the game is that it uses the Microsoft Flight Simulator X, to simulate most of the settings and aircraft. This included many flight scenarios not featured in the books, such as the Hogwarts Express. Another good feature of the game is the ability to buy and read the Harry Potter books, as well as view some of the films. It's not too extensive, but it provides a nice introduction to the series for those new to the Harry Potter world. In my opinion, this game should have been made with Windows, rather than the other operating systems, as it lacks a lot of features, as seen in a previous Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire review.
In my opinion, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire would have received a better reception if it had been developed for the other operating systems. However, it is still a good game to play, despite its current incarnation on various gaming platforms. Due to its popularity there are lots of online games related to Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, which means that gamers are given the opportunity to play these games whenever they want. Some fanatics even release their own Harry Potter games, as a way of spreading the love for the series even further. No matter how you feel about Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, you should definitely download this game to read a review of the electronic arts version.
