Half-Life: Delta Mod is a free mod for Half-Life on Windows by developer XF-Alien. This mod aims to change the original game, much like Half-Life: Decay or Half-Life 2 Beta Minimalist for Half-Life 2. In this case, it’s a complete rethinking of the original game since it’s a total conversion.
This mod is still based on the Half-Life Universe but has a different story. In this case, you’re a technician in the Delta Base. An experiment at the Black Mesa Research Facility ended up teleporting aliens to the Earth, and it’s up to you to face them.
If the premise in Half-Life: Delta Mod seems interesting, you’ll be happy to know this total conversion has 31 new maps divided into four chapters. There’s great variety in the environments too. You’ll be navigating dark corridors and alien settings in very detailed maps.
A new story and campaign
It’s essential to point out that this isn’t simply an enhancement of the original game – it aims to completely transform the original. This is why maps behave differently than they do in the original, including the enemy placement.
Many gameplay additions
This mod is not only a map pack for Half-Life. It changes many gameplay elements, such as adding new weapons and features. Some of these features entirely change the original experience.
