The software automatically identifies and monitors common system components, including fan speeds, processor speed, and so forth. In addition to that, it also monitors temperatures across the entire computer and analyzes the data to determine activity levels. This useful feature is especially useful for end users and PC experts who can quickly identify problematic areas of their computers for improved performance.

In addition to that, CorsoIR's advanced graphical user interface allows users to change or alter various factors, such as ambient temperature, processor speed, fan speed, and so forth. For example, by altering the "CPU Stress Level" you can activate or deactivate features that can help stabilize your computer during heavy workloads. If you want to monitor your computer's temperature while you are away from your computer, you can simply activate the "ocard monitoring mode", which will block all activity on your computer until you reconfigure the setting. One very useful feature of CorsoIR is the built in battery backup/power adapter. If your main computer dies, you can easily revert back to the original configuration by simply reconnecting your monitor to the CORSAIR Link ports using the included USB cable.
