Angry Birds Journey is a free action-adventure platform game that brings back the fun of your feathered friends. You’ll set out on missions to take out the pigs while rescuing some hatchlings. There are hundreds of stages, each set with different levels of difficulty in vast worlds filled with puzzles.
The Angry Birds Journey story
In Angry Birds Journey, you’ll travel through exotic landscapes to recover what is called the Egg Wonders. Of course, the pigs are back to stand in your way, but they also have some hatchlings hostage that you’ll need to save. It takes careful planning to smite your enemy while ensuring that your friends remain safe.
Gameplay mechanics
The usual gameplay mechanics return in Angry Birds Journey. You’ll have a slingshot whereby you cast your bird of choice across the screen. Of course, each level is different, and you’ll need to select your character carefully based on traits and unique abilities. You’ll receive coins based on how effectively you completed the stage, which you can then use for rewards.
What happened to previous Angry Birds games?
Rovio Entertainment made a statement that it will no longer be focusing on previous iterations, such as Angry Birds Classic or Go! The development team wants to put full concentration on delivering new content rather than maintaining or supporting old games. Therefore, you may see old games vanishing from the Google Play Store and other locations.
Alternatives to Angry Birds Journey
If you enjoy casual games, then you should try Slugterra that’s become popular over the last few years. You’ll enjoy 3D animations, and you’ll face a planet of slugs in this highly addictive game. Of course, you can’t go wrong with a classic, so you can also enjoy ideal games like Candy Crush Saga.
Head out on a feathered journey
The Angry Birds legacy lives on in the new Journey game. You’ll have hundreds of levels to play through, with new characters and fantastic locations. There are also new abilities to enjoy and a few new enemy types. It’s much of the same gameplay with the latest features.
