1v1.LOL by JustPlay.LOL is an online building and shooting simulator for Android devices. The game combines hideout construction and shooter gameplay elements, challenging you to remain the last person alive in a heated battle royale. Hone your skills and join multiplayer modes to test yourself against other players.
Build and shoot
1v1.LOL is all about building the best, safest, deadliest-for-your-opponents fortress and beating the enemies with a combination of trigger abilities and cleverness.
The on-screen controls make the gameplay easy to learn, letting you choose the exact setup you prefer for the quickest reactions. It can be challenging to master, though, and will keep you glued to your screen for hours on end.
Once you get the hang of the basics, hop into an online match against random players. While there might be bots on lower levels, you’ll soon progress to a point where you only play against real players.
Three game modes
This game boasts three distinct modes, with promises of more coming soon:
- Practice Mode - This one is the only offline option, giving you time to familiarize yourself with the mechanics. However, it’s not a tutorial but part of 1v1.LOL proper, with rewards and achievements.
- One-on-One - An online mode that pits you against another player for a deadly shootout for survival.
- Box Fight - A two-on-two royale in a more condensed battle arena for an added challenge.
Open the app, and you’ll see these options on your screen. You can play as a guest immediately or create an account to win your place on the leaderboard.
Free for all
1V1.LOL is free to play and doesn’t even feature—let alone try to push—microtransactions on the player. As a result, there’s no way to remove the interface ads. They’re unobtrusive, but their placement near the controls does get annoying.
The game doesn’t feature any bonuses or boosters—free or paid. Due to this, the experience isn’t as dynamic as Fortnite or PUBG, both of which award the most persistent players or those ready to pay.
Fun for a bit
Overall, 1v1.LOL provides a reasonably fun and exciting experience with its free and accessible gameplay. It blends the two mechanic elements well—producing a unified, well-rounded mobile game. However, unlike many of its competitors, it doesn’t include addictive progression-based components, which quickly makes it feel repetitive.
