Free Tool for Cleaning up VMware Fusion Virtual Machine Disks

VMware Install Cleaner is a free tool that can be used to clean up, defragment, and shrink VMware Fusion virtual machines. While it is not an official VMware application, it can be useful after using official VMware utility tools to shrink the virtual disk. It should be noted that VMware Install Cleaner cannot reduce the size of a pre-allocated disk. Instead, it is used after defragmenting and shrinking the disk to manually clean up larger files that may have been missed by Fusion's cleanup tools. This tool can also be used to remove registry files from your computer, which may help with installing new VM software or resolving installation issues.
