The TracPipe CounterStrike Sizing App is an Android-based program that enables users to size TracPipe® Flexible Gas Piping products. It offers two methods of gas pipe sizing, either the Longest Run or Branch length method. The App displays the appropriate size of piping for a given capacity depending on the type of gas, supply pressure, and allowable pressure drop selected by the user. The calculator wheel is easy to read, and the user can choose the length of pipe and tubing size by selecting the design parameters from the drop-down menus.
The App is designed to be user-friendly, and it is a valuable tool for gas piping system designers. It is essential to size gas piping systems in accordance with the steps for the Longest Length Method or the Branch Length Method as outlined in Chapter 4 of the International Fuel Gas Code or Chapter 6 of the National Fuel Gas Code. The piping system designer must ensure that the pressure drop is such that the supply pressure at the appliance is greater than or equal to the minimum pressure required by the appliance.
