In Shiner, relationships are complicated, and even friends can horse around. The game offers four zones to battle through, and every battle is a puzzle and an opportunity for the player to find a new way to break the game. Players can craft powerful builds by choosing the right combination of attacks to bring into each fight. The game features a fully voice-acted cast of characters, and if the battles get too tough, players can switch to "One-Punch Mode." The game is only one to two hours long, making it a bite-sized experience.
