Rope Hero, a Spider-Man-like open-world game

Rope Hero is a free open-world game, featuring a protagonist whose primary skill is being able to use a grappling hook in much the same way that Spider-Man uses webs. Despite this similarity to the webbed crusader, the grappling hook is not a significant part of the gameplay, which is more similar to something like Grand Theft Auto.
There is a great deal of vehicle gameplay involved, making it comparable to some open-world racing games like Need For Speed Underground. There are also a variety of mission types to play.
Basic visuals but lots of content
The game takes place in an open-world city that is populated with various enemies, such as street gangs. There is a narrative for the player to follow, involving infiltrating an underground empire, and there are also many things to explore in the game world outside of the main mission, such as secret areas and mini-games.
The graphics of the game are quite basic, being more on par with older games of this style, and the animations of the world’s characters can be a little jerky. Much of the gameplay is fast-paced, however, so this may not be a problem. There are several mechanics at play in the game, such as wall-climbing, driving, fighting, and the aforementioned rope swinging.
A fun time-killer
If you are used to games like Grand Theft Auto, the low-fidelity graphics may be a little jarring. The world is also small, relative to those larger budget games. However, this app is free and built for mobile devices, which cannot be said for the other games mentioned here.
There are in-app purchases and advertisements, but the purchases do not interfere with the gameplay, and the advertisements are not too obtrusive. The game makes use of beginner-friendly simple controls, and the interface is quite intuitive. While this game is no competition for larger budget games of the genre, it offers many of the same mechanics.
