Kingdom Rush - Tower Defense Game Review
Kingdom Rush - Tower Defense Game is a browser-based, tower defense game, developed by Ironhide Game Studio, published by Armor Games and released on Android on July 28, 2021, for free on the iPad a few months later, on Android devices in May 2021, then on iOS in January 2021, and a port to Unity in March. In short, it's another tower defense game. I'm not entirely sure why Ironhide Game Studio decided not to make an iPhone version of this game. I mean, I'd play it on an iPhone just to try it out, because I love tower defense games and this one is pretty fun.
The story of Kingdom Rush - Tower Defense Game is set during the ancient era when there was warring against each other and God was trying to bring peace. As each side struggled to defend their cities from another onslaught of enemy soldiers, God created seven artifacts which now scattered across the countryside. Your mission is to protect your capital city from an approaching force using an arsenal of towers, catapults, and pyramids as you fight to overcome all kinds of obstacles and survive the numerous waves of attack by the enemy. It looks a bit simplistic visually, but it's also enjoyable as you battle through each level.
Based on history, ironhide game studio did a pretty good job recreating the look and feel of ancient Egypt as they modeled the early architecture of the country. The graphics were quite good despite the fact that the game was designed as an iPhone game. The game played well too, using a simple touch screen interface which didn't cause any issues as I used it. The overall visual presentation of Kingdom Rush - Tower Defense Game was fairly good. It's not the best Android games I've seen, but it's definitely in the top five.
