What Is It That Makes You So Effective As A Translator?

I translate means "I translate" and this is my profession. My job as a Translator is to translate from one language to another, be it from English to Spanish, or vice versa. As a Translator I translate not only my client's text from one language to another but also my own written work in many different languages. Sometimes I translate from Spanish to English and sometimes I translate from English to a Spanish language. My clients often call me to translate from a different language into their mother tongue to make sure that the message gets across to their audience.
I Translate iPhone App: Currently I am working as a Translator for an iPhone application that translates SMS text messages sent to iPhones. The program works both ways, i.e. you send an SMS from your iPhone to someone else's phone and the other person sends back an SMS in your language to you on his/her iPhone. This is the newest area of expertise that I have as a Translator and I love it.
As a translator you will always be faced with the challenge of translating from one language to another, be it a document written in English to a document written in Spanish. Translating software can help us do this but as any good translator will tell you, it is not the best way to go about it. It's like trying to find the perfect ingredient in a great recipe - you just need the right combination of ingredients. In my case, the right combination of components is the human mind!
