Counter-Strike: Source - An old friend
Screenshots
Counter-Strike is one of the most popular action games of all time and Source is a legendary installment of the franchise. The goal is to either complete missions like defusing bombs or saving hostages, or simply to outsmart and defeat the other team. Released in October 2004 for Windows computers, this game is a newer version of an older game called Counter-Strike, but with better graphics and some new features thanks to an updated game engine called Source. Initially, it was part of a package with another game, Half-Life 2, but later on, you could buy it by itself.
Counter-Strike: Source gameplay and features
Just like any other Counter-Strike game, the gameplay and features are pretty simple and the same. If you are a gamer, you must have heard about this game. Each match has rounds, and to win a round, your team must either complete the mission or eliminate the other team. What's unique here is that if you're taken out, you have to wait until the next round to play again. This makes every move count. The game also makes it hard to shoot accurately while moving and firing your gun non-stop makes it harder to hit targets. Where you hit your enemy matters, too – headshots do more damage than other hits.
Can you play CS Source for free?
Unfortunately, Counter-Strike: Source isn't free. You need to buy it on Steam, a place where you can purchase and download games. The price is usually around $5.79, but sometimes there are discounts, so it's a good idea to check the current price on Steam.
