Free first-person puzzle horror minigame

Carbon Steel for Windows is a free psychological puzzle horror minigame where you play the role of a clueless scientist that starts a job at a creepy lab. The game’s mechanics are based on the late 90s PS1 console-era low-poly graphics and gameplay. There’s also an unsettling psychological twist with puzzles you need to solve.
Developed by Mike Klubnika, this game is absolutely safe and can be downloaded on all PCs running Windows 7 to 11. If you’re a fan of horror games, we highly recommend that you also try other favourites, such as Siren Head, Ligaw, and Security Booth.
Questionable research
As an unwitting and broke scientist, you accept a job at a creepy science lab that pays you a salary for three days that’s more than quadruple your annual salary. While working in the lab, you discover that the facility has questionable ethical practices, and is experimenting with bringing diabolical entities and organisms to life.
Left to your own devices
As soon as you realise you’re left to your own devices, you must figure out a way to escape. The only assistance you have is an Apple Lisa 2 computing device, and you need to quickly learn how to control, operate and maintain 10 devices without any assistance.
All of this pressure is exacerbated by the steel vessel you’re forced to work within, left behind by long-dead engineers. Additionally, this vessel is your only protection against the creatures banging and howling to get inside.
Disturbing and wicked storyline
This game is perfect if you’re a psychological horror game aficionado searching for an immersive, exciting gaming experience. Additionally, the graphics are nostalgic and reminiscent of the PS1 game interfaces of the late 90s. The storyline successfully serves up a wicked and disturbing storyline with surprising multiple endings.
The only negative comment about this game is that it’s too short and only lasts around 30 minutes. However, the many endings, exceptional sound effects, and graphics will keep you coming back to discover more unsettling endings, which makes this game a great attraction. How every event unfolds depends on your actions and the choices you make.
