Assassin's Creed Freedom Cry is a standalone expansion of Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, developed by Ubisoft. The game is set 12 years after the events of Black Flag, introducing a new character named Adéwalé, a pirate who joins the Order of Assassins to stop slavery in Haiti. The game features nine missions, including open-world sea maps with sea battles, and land missions with side quests where you can upgrade your character and recruit unchained slaves to your crew.
The game is a pirate-themed title with an emphasis on sea battles. Compared to Black Flag, the ship development system and weaponry were reduced. Freedom Cry follows the series' traditions and combines stealth elements with open combat, featuring weapon types such as swords, guns, and throwing knives. The game is available on Windows and is a full version licensed game, belonging to the action category.
