Xmarks is a popular website management tool that allows users to create and manage their bookmarks on the Internet and sync them with other devices. Xmarks uses your existing web browser and plug-ins to access your local history. When you create an account, you can add, edit and remove bookmarks, tags and calendars. It integrates with Windows Live Room, allowing you to access any bookmarks you have stored on this service. Xmarks lets you save your bookmarks to removable disks and share them with other users via a browser window. You can also access your information from the clipboard, so you don't have to type anything in order to view it.
Xmarks offers all the functionality of Windows Live Writer and Microsoft Office Outlook. Xmarks is a free tool that works in the browser without being downloaded onto your system, syncing your bookmarks between your computers and allowing you to access your saved information from any computer. Xmarks works by storing your bookmarks on its own server and cloud-sourcing your bookmarks between computers so the extension becomes signed in and installed on your computer where you want it to be. Signing in is not complicated.
Once you have the program installed on your computer, you can start creating and synchronizing your bookmarks with Xmarks. To do this, open the program, and select Import/Sync tab. On the Select a destination tab, click Browse and enter a path that contains the path to the folder containing your bookmarks. Once done, save all your changes by clicking on the Save tab and then, close the program. Xmarks will now be synchronized between your Xmarks folders and your Windows Live Writer and Microsoft Outlook accounts.
