Suction is a free, portable app developed by The Dr's Office that aims to help users organize their messy folders quickly. If you're someone who has hundreds of folders on your system in no particular order, Suction can be a handy tool.
The main feature of Suction is its ability to consolidate parent directories. For example, if your images directory is cluttered with unnecessary folders, you can simply drag the folder into the Suction interface, and it will remove the folders, leaving you with just the files. This feature is also beneficial for users who frequently download files and end up with a messy tree of folders and subfolders.
Suction offers various customization options to enhance its functionality. You can add it to the context menu, remove duplicates, rename files, and even automatically sort them into new folders. The program also keeps a log of your actions and provides an undo button for easy reversals.
