OSEx: A Basic DVD Ripper for Mac
Screenshots
OSEx is a free DVD ripper for Mac that allows users to make copies of their disks. While it may be discontinued and not as advanced as other rippers on the market, it still gets the job done.
One drawback of OSEx is its raw interface, which can be unintuitive for first-time users. There is no help file available, so users will have to explore the program themselves to understand its functionality.
OSEx supports various input options, including program streams, element streams, DVD folders, DVD images, and Quicktime files. Users can choose to rip specific segments or the entire disc. The interface displays time codes on the left to track the progress of the ripping process. Additionally, users can select individual sound, audio, and subtitles to rip.
Despite its limitations, OSEx performs fairly quickly and does not interfere with other programs running on your Mac. However, it is recommended for users who only need a very basic DVD ripper.
