Michael Jackson's Moonwalk by James Brown

Not only did Michael Jackson's Moonwalk have one of the most memorable dance moves ever, it also helped him break new ground in music with its original synthetic sounds. The song 'Waltz For Michael Jackson' contains the first dance move that won him the ACM Music Awards in 1980. The synthesizer-based break that comes next is something that would be tried later on by other artists such as Rihanna and Shakira. It seems as though Michael Jackson's Moonwalk is still revered by many around the world even today. Many impersonators still attempt to copy the dance moves for the original but fail miserably. One of the more popular impersonators is impersonator James Brown, who did a number one cover with the refrain 'rave haggard, come crazy'. While some people still try to come up with their own Moonwalk imitations, there seems to be very few that come anywhere close to matching the original. There is one artist however who may have the ability to parry any imitation artists of the past, and that is the late Michael Jackson.
Michael Jackson's Moonwalk is referenced quite a lot by other artists as well; coming in just about every video released since the song's release. One artist that seems to use it the most is Rihanna, who did an entire song called 'Take Me To My World' with the moonwalk at the center. There are also impersonators from earlier albums of Michael Jackson that are re-releases, like Thriller by James Brown or Billie Jean by Michael Jackson. Other artists like Kanye West and John Entwistle have made videos with moonwalks that look surprisingly accurate! With the endless imitations and ripoffs that have come about, it seems that no one is safe from having their dance move performed by a moonwalk!
