Active@ is one of many types of partition recovery software available on the market today. Active@ Partition Recovery (sometimes known as Active Revision) is an extremely powerful software utility, designed specifically to restore accidentally lost partitions, even physical volumes becoming severely damaged from a virus, malware, or other causes. The software can recover data from almost all types of file systems - FAT, NTFS, or FAT32 partitions. Active Revision's capabilities go beyond recovering lost partitions though. It can also recover data from logical drives, such as CD/DVD drives. This utility is available free online and can be downloaded straight from our website.
In order to use Active@ Partition Recovery to recover data from windows, you will need a computer with windows installed. Connect your computer to the internet and download one of our test images. Once you have downloaded the image, open it from your computer, using the application you wish to recover your files on. Navigate to the section "Program Files" and double click on the drive(s) you wish to recover. The software will then prompt you to compare packages of all missing partitions.
Once the compare packages are compared, you will be asked to select the one that matches your windows OS. Click on "select" to list all selected partitions for recovery. At this point, you will need to have a working version of Active@ Partition Recovery installed on your computer. To do this, open up the administrative tools of your windows system, by clicking Start, then Run, then type in "msconfig" in the text field box. You will see a window appear, with which you will enter your username and password for administrative access to your computer - if you wish to perform this operation in less-than-ideal conditions, you should never use a "cronturnate" user name or any file name that may cause any problem during Active File Recovery.
